The
Modular
Memory Keyer for Palm Paddles
Add a Code Cube memory keyer to
your Palm Mini Paddle,
or the Code Cube Solo (see below)
and you have the world's
smallest keyer-paddle!
Measuring a mere 1 x 1 x 1.25 inches (25 x 25 x 34 mm), the Code Cube is a full-featured electronic memory keyer that plugs into any Palm Mini Paddle - no external wiring, just plug it in. In the pictures above you'll see the Code Cube on the left, and the Code Cube installed on a Palm P-817 paddle on the right. And for those who prefer a different paddle, there is a stand-alone version, the Code Cube "Solo" (see below). The Code Cube utilizes a custom version of the popular Jackson Harbor Press PK4 chip and is powered by the readily available, long lasting (200 mAh) CR2032 3V Lithium Cell (included).
The Code Cube keying speed is adjustable from 5 to 39 WPM via a handy thumbwheel. The upper and lower speed limits for the pot can be programmedand in fact Palm has calibrated the pot and set the limits at 16 to 32 wpm. Palm has also integrated a sidetone oscillator which drives the built-in piezo transducer for code practice and programming as well as for side-tone if your radio doesn't have it. The tone frequency can be adjusted from 500 Hz to about 7KHz (the resonant frequency of the piezo is about 4 KHz).
The Code Cube has 100+ characters of message memory (allocated as either two or three messages) , making it usable for most contest exchanges. It also features storage of your callsign for automatic CQ generation, so you don't have to devote one of the memories to a CQ! The Code Cube keyer has more features than you can shake a stick at-- just click here to read the manual on-line.
The Code Cube comes with a cable
for connecting to your
rig, complete instructions in English, and even a credit-card sized
laminated
quick reference for more common programming commands.

Cube IR, with built-in IR Link Transmitter.
The Code Cube "Solo" is a neat little stand-alone version of the Code Cube, for use with any paddle. The Code Cube keyer is installed in an extruded, powder coated aluminum shell with soft rubber feet. The "Solo" comes complete with cables for connection to your paddle and radio. There's even a "conversion kit" (PR-HKCC, requires Torx T6 for installation) to turn your existing Code Cube into a Solo.

I
received the Code Cube right on
schedule. Thanks
for the
fast shipping!
It's
truly an amazing little gadget.
And this is coming
from a
self-professed gadget afficianado!
It's got to
be the
coolest thing I've seen
in a long time. Really
neat
fit INSIDE the Palm key.
I intend to use it with
my
Alinco DX-70 as a travel setup,
carried inside a
fitted
foam case.
I'll
be ordering again in the near
future!
Thanks
and 73, Jim WE5F
